I left Virgin media because of their really bad 200MB service that was over subscribed in my area (Rotherham), had a troll around and decided on orign and went ahead with having 2 36mb lines installed that worked out not much more than VM.

First couple of, months no issues and the odd time there was a loss of service everything was back up within the hour, but recently have only been getting about 11 mb down with the full 8mb up on both lines with the speed ranging between 10 and 22 mb during the day with a ping of around 45 (usually only 12-17), can't even watch a you tube vid now without buffering.

Called tech support and was told that my exchange is over subscribed and that as I'm only getting less than 17 mb at night when no engineers will go out to test it was a waste of time and they wouldn't escalate my fault to open reach.

Really shoddy customer service after the 14 day cancellation period but couldn't do enough to help during it. I advise anyone who is thinking of signing up with origin broadband to stay away.
