Had been with Claranet for many years and was very pleased with service except for price. Talktalk said as I lived close to my exchange I could expect an up to 16mbps service and were cheaper than Claranet, so I changed....big mistake! For the first 2 days I received an 11mbps service. Download speed then dropped off to 0.2mbps. First call to Technical support operator obviously working off a "song sheet" took over 10 minutes to talk me through to their speed test web page when i was already on it, but insisted I had to do things his way. Agreed results, said line needed checking, would call me back never did. Then got in touch with 2 tier support, 3 times they promised to investigate/resolve and call me back never did. L<uckily, still within 30 day "trial" period so called and cancelled contract. DSigned up with Virgin Media instead, now getting a 19mbps download speed. OK they are dearer, but still less than I was paying with Claranet, but a far faster service and compared to Talktalk it works!
