Mobile operator T-Mobile has won high praise for its Mobile Broadband service from a YouGov survey of 1,958 respondents with similar packages. The results ranked T-Mobile first in 9 out of 13 categories, including speed and value for money.

Overall the operator came top in: Value for money; reliability during the day; upload speeds; download speeds; getting connected; ease of use; billing; installation and customer services. They also came second for quality and staying connected (we are currently requesting the full results).

Richard Warmsley, Head of Internet and Entertainment for T-Mobile UK, said: “The results of this latest YouGov mobile broadband survey indicate that we’re offering our internet customers the right mix of consistent performance and service, at a fair price. We are particularly pleased about our top rating for value for money.

In today’s economic climate, we recognise value is a key factor for people looking for a flexible broadband solution. Our customers can stay connected wherever they need to, with the added peace of mind of no sneaky extra charges if they exceed their internet fair use policy.

To complement YouGov’s research, readers may recall that quarterly tests conducted by independent test house P3 Solutions for Q3 and Q4 of 2008 ranked T-Mobile No.1 overall (original news and chart). This was measured against competitors on metrics such as browsing the most popular web sites, internet upload speeds and email.
