UK ISP Virgin Media is giving its home broadband customers a new range of online storage, backup and photo printing facilities for free. The new service, called
V Stuff, forms part of a range of enhancements for customers and can be managed through a new customer control centre at
http://my.virginmedia.com.
By uploading photos to the V Stuff online storage area, users will be able to create their own albums. Another key feature is the ability to safely backup important documents, including home videos, and other media to a secure online storage area.
Once set up, V Stuff automatically backs up new additions to folders and any changes to existing documents. Customers will also be able to remotely access their files from work, a friend’s house, or any other computer on the Internet.
The new user website allows customers to manage all aspects of their accounts, including simplifying access to ebilling, setting up their free PCguard Internet security, centralising help and support information, and providing easy access to the Virgin Media webmail service.
Customers can upgrade to Unlimited storage and up to 100 monthly photo prints for £5 per month if not on XXL (50Mb) and the high quality digital photo printing service is only free for one year.
