Comparison site Broadband.co.uk has released its latest anecdotal monthly broadband speed testing results for June 2009. It shows that the average UK broadband download speed has increased once again to 4.340Mbps, which is up from 4.248Mbps in May. The average upload speed stood almost completely unchanged at 0.433Mbps.

Meanwhile Virgin Media retains its crown as the fastest broadband ISP for downloads, extending its lead from 5.874Mbps in May to 6.135Mbps in June. By comparison O2 ( Be Broadband ) held second place but dropped slightly for the second month running from 5.778Mbps to 5.632Mbps over the same period:

Nothing to see here, more people have joined O2 Access, therefore more people have slowed down the 'average' download. Same can be seen in upload.
