UK ISP EntaNet and Distribution of User Broadband Speedshttp://www.ispreview.co.uk/story/2009/07/31/uk-isp-entanet-reveals-distribution-of-user-broadband-speeds.htmlThanks to one of our readers for informing us that Entanet also has charts that show the distribution of the broadband speeds received by customers on the provider’s network (e.g. ADSL24 , Aquiss etc.). This follows yesterdays news where PlusNet posted nearly identical data for its ISP (here ( http://www.ispreview.co.uk/story/2009/07/29/uk-isp-plusnet-highlights-distribution-of-user-broadband-speeds.html )). Both charts are interesting to look at, especially the 21CN one where speeds of 6500 (6.5Mbps) and 7150 (7.1Mbps) account for a significant portion of the providers users. This is because quite a lot of Entanet's customers are still on 'up to 8Mbps' packages, albeit while using the providers faster 'up to' 24Mbps platform; as a result they get stronger speeds. It also suggests that many users would stand to benefit from upgrading to one of the faster up to 24Mbps ADSL2+ products. |
