tariamSatellite ISP Tariam UK has cut the monthly cost of its Eutelsat Tooway based Homenet product, which offers download speeds of up to 3.6Mbps and uploads of up to 0.38Mbps; prices now start at £35 inc. VAT per month. The one-off installation and hardware setup fee has also been reduced to £717.00.
Packages:

Basic £35 (2.4GB usage allowance)
Bronze £45 (4GB usage allowance)
Silver £55 (6GB usage allowance)
Gold £115 (12GB usage allowance)
The recent improvements seen in satellite broadband are promising, though for most people the prices, high latency and small usage allowances remain difficult stumbling blocks. Pricing is also a particularly difficult dilemma for the target audience, which is often remote and rural residents, many of whom survive on lower incomes.
