vispa logoISP Vispa Internet UK has acquired the broadband DSL (ADSL) customer base of Scotland based Abel Internet, a former rival. The move means that more than 700 business and residential customers have now been transferred from Abel to Vispa.

James Ormerod, Vispa’s Managing Director, says:

“The Acquisition of Abel’s Broadband business is a good move for Vispa and will certainly be beneficial to the transferring customers. Vispa has a lot to offer and we look forward to servicing the base in the future”

Adam Binks, Vispa’s Commercial Director, added:

“The Abel customer base has been very loyal and has enjoyed several years of unprecedented customer service and support and we will ensure that the customers will continue to receive such service. Abel’s customers will now also have the opportunity to benefit from the many additional products and services that Vispa has to offer”

The acquisition is said to be the first of many planned by Vispa, which is actively seeking contact from any ISP that might be looking for an exit strategy. Many smaller ISPs are struggling in this aggressively competitive environment and so it is perhaps not unsurprising to see today’s news.

Interesting to see Adam Binks involved. Considering he also runs, or ran EurISP (Aspire Internet).

Destined to fail right there.

Vispa operate their own network and centrals unlike Aspire who simply resell Entanet. No wonder Adam Binks jumped ship. I would too given the opportunity.

Hi - I actually jumped ship from EurISP before it "failed" and became Aspire! Thanks for the vote of confidence though ;-)

I hate Abel, whose service in every respect got worse and worse over the last couple of years.

As of today it seems my website is down, all other websites with abel in the name are down, including their own, and my email is down too. It would have been nice of them to tell us they were going to do this, but unlike Vispa they don't seem to give a monkeys about their customers. I've found Vispa to be a huge improvement.

Well this weekend 13th June and 14th June I still cannot ftp my website - my weblogs stoppd on the 20th May - the server was down last weekend and I have no idea what is happening. No-one notified me of any takeover. The helpline person said he would report the weblogs last weekend but nothing has happened.
So Vispa is an improvement? I dont think so.
Oh and the ftp port numbers have changed apparently as well.
Will somene please let me know what is going on?
Thanks

I would like to propose not to hold off until you earn enough cash to buy goods! You can just take the business loans or term loan and feel yourself free
