UK ISP Viatel Sells Retail Business to MDNX Holding Ltd

Business communications provider Viatel (Viatel Holding (Bermuda) Limited - VHB) has announced the sale of its UK Retail business VTL (UK) Ltd to MDNX Holding Ltd (MDNX). Viatel had reportedly already separated its retail arm from the European Network business and had been operating them as independent business units for the last year.Viatel will continue to operate its European Network and business, selling Bandwidth, Fibre, Ethernet and Co-location as usual. It's European business will continue to use the brand 'VTLWaveNet, part of the Viatel Group'.
Lucy Woods, CEO of VHB, commented briefly:
"The sale of VTL UK to MDNX means that we can now focus on our European network business. The European wholesale market is an exciting area and we’re looking forward to putting more emphasis on our operations here."
