--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it's been another crap day at ...... for me. I've been run ragged again. The customers from ..... are demanding to know when their refunds are coming through, the bunch from ...... want to know when they'll be migrated and the new lot from ... are all demanding MAC Codes! I've done the usual, issued the odd smoke screen, made a few off topic comments and generally ignored the rest. And I did mention that things would get better and that I'm working really hard, that usually quietens things down for a day or two. But the boss wants to play poker all the time or go for a kebab and a pint. I mean, what with having to do that and keep an eye on my live chat, answer the 'phones which never stop ringing, even if you pull the plugs, write emails and work on my new web pages, how is anyone supposed to keep up with it all? No stress, you understand, as I don't actually do any of the work anyway it's not too bad, but keeping up the front, that's the hard part. And letting the boss win at cards, that grates. He did say he'd pay for the takeaways this week but turned up today without any cash - no change there then. Maybe next week things will be better? Thanks for listening. Did I mention my forum where you can come for help and support? It's at ............ I'm always there.
Reading the EFH forum
http://www.efhbroadband.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2193
numbers of their users have very similar complaints to us at EzeeDSL. No coincidence then that they are also owned by Dominic.
EFH BROADBAND JOINS 186k
MARROCCO'S 186k Limited has acquired the highly respected Internet provider EFH Broadband, in a move that will see EFH become the company's new consumer flagship brand.
The acquisition, which includes all associated brand properties and a rapidly growing customer base, will give the company another established leading brand providing premium broadband services.

Old Pokerface Mr D. Marrocco may want to review that "...rapidly growing customer base" comment in a few weeks.
There's a couple more dissatisfied ezee customers posting on adslguide.
47 days without broadband  (http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=unhappiness&Number=2859647&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=)
Effective way of fighting a rotten ISP (http://bbs.adslguide.org.uk/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=unhappiness&Number=2860553&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=)
Looks like the could be busy fighting court cases, still perhaps things will quieten down once they move customers over to Tiscali's network and regrade the lines.

Mel,
Many thanks for these links.
Whilst not all of the 'viewers' on these threads will be EzeeDSL customers - be they ex V21, EFH, Fast24 et alia, viewer stats as of now are:
ezeedsl- need a consumer lawyer any suggestions has 222 views
Effective way of fighting a rotten ISP has 733 views
ezeedsl: 47 days without broadband has 571 views
all these three started within last 72 hours and rank in the top six live/active threads.
Note that the parent company/supra organisation that binds them all together is
http://www.186k.co.uk/company/aboutus.html
owned by, yes, it's our man Dominic, who proclaims to be
A Tower of Strength
186k is building a company based on financial security, industry knowledge and commitment to customer service
and I didn't make that up..... I will leave others to comment.

Clive there is a "fake" isp going around , and you are a big part of it you prick. Get your egotistical head out of your arse and try and sort the mess out. You have constantly lied to people , your company has caused endless hassle, expense, and worry to lots of people. I think that Clive (and anyone else behind Ezeedsl if there is anyone else) really need to wipe the smile off their face. If the farce that we know as 'Ezeedsl' solicited business knowing it couldn't deliver the service people thought they were paying for (and we're talking tangibles here such as an un-upgraded 1Mb line that is supposed to be on 'Home 2000' and several instances of no broadband at all since November, this could be fraud.
I hope Clive has prepared himself for a custodial sentence; fraud goes beyond minor stuff involving regulators, a bit of lost business and fines.

We don't need to worry about imposters on this forum, ISP reps are identified as such. See the forum rules: "Representatives for any kind of ISP must identify themselves to a website admin or Editor-in-Chief (see 'Contact' page) before being allowed to post."

my personal opinion is the posts should be removed and that the few posts that ensued resulted from one disgruntled member who wants to vent but ends up acting like a kid (which may very well be the case) however regardless this ISP sucks only herd one good review and the rest bad, surely an ISP to avoid just a shame some ppl take the time to lower themselves to the level of this shady ISP

Ah, but which one is pretending to be Clive?
On a more serious note, I've had a "bounce" report from an ISP in Canada effectively saying that they've blacklisted EzeeDSL, for reasons they don't state. I've referred it to EzeeDSL Support but the only suggestion they've come up with so far is that I've wrongly input the smtp server details - just for that one email!! I dread to think what I'd do if I had an important Support query.
I think the comments about Clive lighten up what could be a very serious situation if EzeeDSL doesn't get it's act together some time soon.

well l can say l found the first one amusing however you said that one was you, the others however went a little too far, l however applaud your honesty
regardless tho l do think that altho clive helped a fair few ppl it doesnt change the fact that on a whole this ISP has been a down right disaster when dealing with its customers and while l think this "clive" did do his job he didnt make the difference he was supposed to, if l was in his shoes l would have resigned ages ago because l in good faith would never work for a company that didnt care about its customers it just wouldnt feel right, so regretfully l have to say this clive is just as bad as his ISP for not making the difference with his bosses that he should have done.. altho on a side note l believe this ISP is a one man crew and one guy is acting out all the names (this is just from what l have herd from a couple of friends, it seems l know a few ppl who were with V21 and Fast24 who actually took up the offer when garden walled)

Right lets get things straight.
Whilst the odd post may be childish, they aren`t nasty, they are good humoured.
Clive is the only person who has Publically posted from 186k.
Clive started his own Help forum...very lamentable.
186k took over EFHBroadband..... the customers were used to honesty, answers & ability to contact the ISP when needed.
Clive came up with his Online Chat thingy...Shut down because peps were using it??? OK...
Clive`s Help forum started to get questions from EFH Customers.... why? because they coudn`t get any other contact.... result Clive shuts his forums down... Why? because peps are posting & asking questions...WTF is a forum for????
Clive going to start a new Official forum soon...... It takes a few minutes to set up a forum & a couple of hours to setup sections permissions etc... Clive said this on the 19th Jan, its now 3 weeks down the line...Wheres the forum Clive?????? Another broken promise????
Under EFH you could obtain a MAC almost instantly, under 186k, not quite so easily unless you pushed very hard & were persistent.
Lets face it Clive doesn`t like any form of critcism... If you are the Public face of any company you have to be able to weather the storms & answer critcisms which sadly Clive doesn`t seem to be able to do. He shuts his forum down, he won`t post on Thinkbroadband (formely ADSLGuide...Why? because they wouldn`t make him a moderator) probably ties in with his "God" tag on his own help forum.
Today the only Official 186k Forum EFHBroadband`s forum has gone, leaving even more peps without contact with their ISP.
And still peps defend him.....

Here we have a business which had an employee who saw themselves as some sort of hero by providing a very limited service to a small number of individuals on behalf of that business.
What a very, very odd and incredibly amateurish set up. It made for a very patchy and overly informal approach to those lucky few fortunate enough to be favoured by this character who called himself 'Clive'.
I'm sorry but as a victim of Ezeedsl, I'm not interested in the activities of some egotist wanting a slap on the back for doing what his employees should be doing for all their customers. I have paid for 3 months of broadband at a rate of 2Mb/s. My line hasn't even been upgraded from the 1Mb I had with V21. Ezeedsl have told lie after lie...but of course only on their website as they don't communicate with individual customers.
Assuming 'Bagpuss' isn't AKA 'Clive', 'John Smith' etc etc (all pseudonyms of the individual that is Ezeedsl), I have to question their sanity. Any rational, balanced individual will perfectly understand the resentment and anger shown here towards a business that has taken their money, won't deliver the service they've paid for and won't respond to any communication.
I wou;d like to see Ezeedsl not only closed down but those who have made money out of it investigated for fraud.

The official 186k forum will be online this week, the reason it has taken so long is so we get the guidelines and people to be able to support our customers via a forum.
I shut down my forum because of the ammount of pointless threads like this one, where you all end up attacking me personally for trying to help you out, and as I said the migrations are taking place (350) have migrated to the correct speeds and this is continuing over the next week.
You ALL had the chance to post us the form from ezeedsl website for a refund for the time you went without the correct speed and I have put through those forms but if you dont fill them in and post them to us there isnt much more help I can provide.
I will post on here with the link to the new forum tomorrow.

Does 186k have an accounts dept? Its amazing that 186k don`t actually know who they owe a refund too..... I believe every company must keep records for 7 years & we`re only talking here of 2/3 months.
You yourself said theres only a small percentage of customers who haven`t been upgraded... so logic tells me these peps are owed money... Whats so difficult about refunding these peps as you are upgrading them YOU MUST KNOW WHO THEY ARE... Otherwise how in hells name do you know they need an upgrade to the packages they signed up for?
Oh while we`re on the subject of accounts, you`ll be getting an email from me regarding the debit of money from my Credit Card, which in my opinion is theft & unless I get a very good explanation & immediate refund I will be reporting it to the Police for them to investigate. As I`m sure you`re aware the Police are duty bound to investigate any form of Crime reported.
Regards.

ok ok ok I get it, you all want info on sooo much let me start:
Fast 24 customers, I have moved all of those over to the core network, there are currently 19 orders that seem to have stuck so I am investigating those but the rest should all be on the correct produt now.
V21 customers, I am moving you all over to the core and at the same time changing the product details, I have done 400 so far as I can only do 100 per day as BT wont allow any more than that at present, I thought it would be pointless telling you all this because you will just say its rubbish, but in case you are interested you lines are in progress...
Those people that filled out the form from Ezeedsl site we have credited you the payments you requested.

I'm due to migrate on Monday and, to be honest, I'm still not suffering any great problems with EFH.
What I, Stevie and the other old EFHers object to, is the total lack of honesty.
We were a trusting lot and with good reason. Duncan and the Elves at EFH were spot on with customer care. Unfortunately, we did not see the writing on the wall with the treatment meted out to the ezeedsl punters. We naively expected things to carry on as before and I was more guilty than most.
I have now suffered twice in this respect as I was a Metronet subscriber, who were taken over by plusnet.
It's all very, very sad, but punters will not put up with this kinda thing and, rightly, will vote with their feet.

I think the way things are going that I may well be following suite and voting with my feet.
I will be holding Ezeedsl in breech of contract for not providing the correct speed service. I have e-mailed and opened tickets concerning my issue. I was told it would be sorted out and it has not.
I gave grace as far as I am concerned and I think I have been fairly understanding of the volumes of customers they are dealing with but 3 months as already stated is not good enough. Uptime has been good and I cannot fault that but I want what I have paid for, I alerted them to their mistake which has been costing me money and still it has not been resolved. I merely asked for a date as to when it would be and I recieved no reply.
Pain the backside to have to change e-mail address again but at least I will be getting what I have paid for.

I suggest you don't use an isp e-mail address as you'll have to change it next time you migrate (unless you are lucky enough to find the perfect isp). You could try gmail or yahoo mail, with the benefit that you can send e-mails regardless of how you're logged on (eg when traveling), and you need never worry about a full mailbox as they offer >1Gb storage.

"Cut Him some slack"!!!!!!! Blimey if you were going to hang him you`d need a winch to wind up the miles of rope after the trapdoor opens & he hits the floor, or you`d need to do it over a bottomless pit.
As to not knowing or seeing the writing on the wall, I had heard of 186k/Ezeedsl before the takeover & alarmbells started to ring in my head once 186k was mentioned.
Some of you maybe aware I with the support of some now ex customers of EFHBroadband set up the Rebels forum...http://xeboards.com/efh_rebels/index.php
In anticipation of the demise of the EFHBroadband Forum, everyones welcome to join... even Clive is a registered member, not that he has posted.
From a personal perspective & its only my opinion, the combination of 186k, Tiscali & Netservices is a force to be as far away from as possible.
Clive did post on the EFHBroadband forum that the "Core network" was 186k`s own kit.... But on being pushed a bit he did admit it was Tiscali`s (Funny that).
"186k manage the core network & it will not be anything like Plusnets network", Clive was involved with the Plusnet migration to Tiscali`s LLU network which as I`m sure many will know went very well.:rolleyes:But in fairness Clive did say that "It was new technology & Plusnet didn`t have the tools available to make it work properly" or words similar to that.
There is also the issue of wether 186k & all its other companys are on a sound financial footing? there has been a couple of posts on AG (Thinkbroadband) indicating that 186k may be a finacial risk... I dunno.
As to promises & Lies.... ..... I`ll leave that to everyone to make their own minds up.... A lot of people have had promises of upgrades & haven`t got them...Why not? Dunno.
Its a very sad saga & has left a lot of people very upset.
I find the demise of EFHBroadband very, very Sad, they were a very respected ISP & now.... In the space of a few weeks have been destroyed as to their reputation for honesty, customer care & support. A very real shame.
I personally have the utmost sympathy for those who were "Garden Walled" & taken in by 186k.
Just a word of advice, don`t cancel your contracts "Repudiate" your contract.. slightly different wording makes a big difference when it goes to court. Make sure you have proof & keep copies of everything.. using web based email is a god send because 186k can`t touch it..... if you`re using a ISP email addy then forward all the e-mails to your web based ones.
Sorry for the long post & the spelling errors.

Thanks for that Steve.
It's difficult to say whther 186k is on a sound financial footing because the accounts for the year ended 31 August 2005 still haven't been filed at Companies House. They were due by 30 June 2006 and the company must by now be racking up some hefty fines. At some stage Companies House will threaten to dissolve the company. That doesn't necessarily tell us that the company's finances are unsound, but it's unusual to delay good news.

I've just typed a long thread and somehow deleted it!
Here's a summary of what I tried to say - At 31 August 2004, the date of the latest filed accounts, the company had a capital deficit of £38,865 and a working capital deficit of £357,842. That is all public information. By some definitions it would be regarded as insolvent at that date. Does Ofcom have any minimum solvency requirements for ISP's? There is also a CCJ (County Court Judgement) of £8,628 registered against the company. That's bad news for any credit rating. You'd think that if the situation had improved they'd be anxious to get the 2005 accounts registered as quickly as possible. Why delay good news? Draw your own conclusions. In the absence of information the company is legally obliged to publish that's all you can do.
I've got myself worried now!
