Opps Just came across this on the Primus site -

" Will switching phone provider affect my broadband connection?
No, you will continue to be billed separately for your broadband. Read your broadband provider’s terms and conditions carefully to be sure - it may stipulate that you must have your line rental and broadband from the same provider. If you have any concerns you should contact your broadband provider directly. "

Looks like it'll be OK !

Most "phone-only" style packages just tend to take a basic wholesale product from BT, which usually means that you pay Primus while BT retains full control of the line and as a result your choice of ISP is not affected until you swap to a fully unbundled provider. You should be fine with Xilo.

    Ah Thanks Mark,

Thats more or less that what I guessed. The link was http://www.homephonechoices.co.uk/?kt=20253 so 10.99 (line rental) + 2.89 ('Free' calls) then 18.99 Xilo ISP cheaper than BT

I'm just about to move house so loseing the paperfree BT discount - 1.25

As Mark says, won't cause any problems at all.

I know a far few of our customers use Primus as their telephony provider.

Good luck with the house move.

The move from Nildram (Mardlin) should be like stepping out of an ancient Lada & getting into a brand new Aston Martin!

Thanks kansenji, moving to Cornwall from the West Midlands

Yes, Nildram they haven't been that 'bad' recently but time for a change !. I really don't like them being swallowed up by these big groups like - insurance company's ,Estate agents etc.....
