signed up with these their rooter looks so friggin big it looks stupid and their wifi signal isnt the best find it hard to stream movies . i was thinking of using my bt home hub 3 instead as its million times better than this slab of plastic

I've never had one of the HomeHub v2's or v3's to play with but most pre-configured ISP specific routers usually don't like to play with other broadband connections to different ISPs. Are you able to change the ISP connection settings? It might be worth a try if you can but don't be surprised if you have problems as BT will have set everything up to favour their own connection.
