Shell Energy Cuts UK Home Broadband Prices for Black Friday

Wednesday, November 6th, 2019 (12:01 am) - Score 1,057

Energy provider and UK ISP Shell Energy has launched a new Black Friday promotion, which discounts the monthly prices of their broadband and phone packages for new subscribers and also offers two months of free service on their “superfast” Fibre-to-the-Cabinet (FTTC / VDSL2) based plans.

New customers can expect to receive unlimited usage, a free wireless router, phone line rental (standard call charges), free connection, an 18 month minimum contract term and UK based support. On top of that they also pledge NOT to “hike your broadband prices up at the end of your contract, nor hit you with any hidden fees upfront.”

Exclusive rewards are also offered for existing customers on their Gas and Electricity plans, although they don’t spell out precisely what that means.

Fast broadband
11Mbps Avg. Download
Price: £19.99 £16.99 per month

Superfast Fibre
35Mbps Avg. Download
Price: £29.99 £23.99 per month

Superfast Fibre Plus
63Mbps Avg. Downloads
Price: £34.99 £26.99 per month

The special offer will be available on new orders made until 8th December 2019. We note that Shell Energy’s underlying network is also supplied by TalkTalk’s wholesale platform (NOT to be confused with that ISPs retail service, wholesale is a different kettle of dish).
