Bristol-based ISP RunFibre, which is building a new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network across rural parts of South Gloucestershire in England, has this week announced that their deployment is being extended to cover 600 premises in the neighbouring villages of Easter Compton and Over.
The move looks set to complement their existing deployments in the communities of Hawkesbury Upton, Inglestone Common and surrounding areas. At present, RunFibre aims to have a total of 3,500 premises covered across all of their areas by March 2023, including 1,000 customers connected (take-up of 28.57%).
Customers usually pay from £20 per month on a 24-month term for their 30Mbps (symmetric speed) package, which rises to £60 for their top 1Gbps tier. Alternatively, you can take a shorter 12-month term for £5 more per month. The provider also sells different services over the CityFibre network in Wolverhampton and Gloucester.

Jordan Hendy, RunFibre’s General Manager, said:
“After deploying the network infrastructure from our live point of presence in Bradley Stoke, we estimate the first live customers to be connected in June [2022]. This has been due to an enormous amount of work from the in-house build engineers and is a tremendous achievement.”
End.
Good someone needs to sort BT out – they refuse to install to many houses in Easter Compton as they can’t install a ladder in the wall – And the other areas got the same. I drove through Easter Compton earlier and saw some barriers going up.
