Telecoms provider TalkTalk has reduced the price of their ‘up to’ 38Mbps capable “Superfast Fibre Broadband” (FTTC) service to just £5 per month for 12 months (£17.50 for 6 months after that and then £19.50 thereafter), but don’t forget to add the line rental charge of £17.70 per month on top (equivalent of £15.93 a month when pre-paid for 1 year).

Sky Broadband has added a £100 M&S e-Voucher to their Sky Fibre Unlimited (up to 38Mbps) service (currently £10 a month instead of the usual £20), while Plusnet has added a £50 Cashback voucher to their 12 months free (normally £9.99) ‘up to’ 17Mbps unlimited broadband deal and BT have introduced £75 to £125 Reward Cards across all broadband and phone bundles.

Internet provider BT Business has slashed the price of their business broadband (ADSL or FTTC / VDSL) and phone line packages for the entire length of the first 24 month contract term, with some broadband prices being reduced by more than half price

Utility provider SSE (Southern Electric), which also does phone and Internet services, has started offering their ‘up to’ 38Mbps and 76Mbps capable superfast “fibre broadband” (FTTC) services free for the first 18 months of service. But there’s still that nasty line rental fee to pay on top.

Budget ISP Plusnet has unveiled a new round of special offers, which includes 18 months of free ‘up to’ 17Mbps unlimited broadband (£9.99 thereafter), 6 months of free ‘up to’ 38Mbps Unlimited Fibre (£14.99 thereafter) and 6 months of ‘up to’ 76Mbps Fibre Extra at £5 per month (£19.99 thereafter).

Sky Broadband has quietly tweaked the prices for their ‘up to’ 38Mbps Sky Fibre (25GB usage) and Sky Fibre Unlimited packages, with the former being free for the first 12 months of service (£10 a month thereafter) and the latter being £10 per month for the first 12 months (£20 thereafter).

Sky has launched a new discount that offers their ‘up to’ 17Mbps Sky Broadband Unlimited package free for the first 12 months of service (£10 thereafter) and they’ve also thrown in a £100 Marks and Spencer e-voucher, although you still have to pay line rental on top.

Cable operator Virgin Media has cut an extra £1 off its broadband and phone discounts and extended how long they last for from 6 to 12 months. The reductions only apply to bundles and so you still have to pay line rental from £15.33 per month (when pre-paid for 1 year) or £17.99 as standard.

During a routine check we noticed that UK ISP BT appears to have reduced some of its prices and refocused all of their home broadband products around “unlimited” usage, which has resulted in the removal of their 10GB capped ADSL2+ and the 40GB BTInfinity (FTTC) broadband packages.

Consumers covered by Hyperoptic’s ultrafast 1Gbps Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP/B) network in London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Bristol, Reading, Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Birmingham or Newcastle can now order the service for a reduced price.

Budget ISP Plusnet has reintroduced their offer of 12 months free unlimited home broadband (up to 17Mbps) for new subscribers (normally £9.99 per month) and added in a £50 Cashback discount, although as usual you still have to pay the line rental charge on top (from £15.49 per month).

Business focused Internet provider XLN Telecom will today increase their monthly phone line rental charge from £15.45 to £16.95 +vat, but they’ve also partly compensated for this by cutting the price of their broadband and phone bundles with a new range of special discounts.

Mobile provider The People’s Operator (TPO Mobile), which piggybacks off EE’s Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) platform, has launched its first UK 4G SIM-Only tariff that for just £6.99 a month will give subscribers 2GB of data, 600 minutes and unlimited texts (30 day contract).

New customers of Sky Broadband can now take the ISPs superfast (up to 38Mbps) Sky Fibre Unlimited FTTC service for £10 a month for the first 6 months (£20 thereafter) and they’ve also added in a £100 M&S shopping e-Voucher. As usual line rental is also still payable on top at £17.40 per month.

Users of TalkTalk’s broadband based TV bundles are being offered a “taster week” of free access to the History Channel, which runs from 14th to 21st March 2016. On top of that the ISP has also reiterated their commitment to security in the wake of several recent scams and cyber-attacks.
