Cloud gaming ISP ZYBRE has announced that their broadband packages are now available to homes covered by MS3‘s new Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network in the North of England (details), which is starting in Hull but eventually aspires to cover 500,000 premises within the next four years.

UK ISP Virgin Media (VMO2) has kicked off the week by launching a different kind of discount on their standalone broadband packages – called “Solus Boost“, which essentially cuts the price of all their packages – from 100Mbps to 1Gbps – to just £28 per month for the first 6 months of service (original pricing thereafter).

UK ISP BT has today enhanced their top two fastest Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based home broadband packages – 500Mbps and 900Mbps – by adding a “free” Xbox Game Pass Ultimate – running for 6 months on 500Mbps and 12 months on 900Mbps (costing £10 per month thereafter).

A new UK ISP called Brillband has today soft-launched itself by proclaiming to be the “world’s first … app-based broadband provider,” which is said to have the “potential to completely change the way broadband is delivered” and is being backed by an initial investment of £660,000 from VC firm Fuel Ventures.

Fixed wireless UK ISP Stix Internet has announced that the first rural homes and businesses have just gone live on their new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network near to Huddersfield in West Yorkshire (England), which is being supplied to consumers via their Northern Fibre sub-brand.

Exeter-based network builder FullFibre Limited has today announced that their UK rollout of a gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) based broadband ISP network has been expanded to a fourth region, which will see them spreading across the North Midlands and Yorkshire – starting with 22 new locations.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has responded to a BT complaint by banning a UK website and TV advert for Virgin Media’s Gig1 Fibre broadband package, which saw the operator promote itself as the “UK’s fastest major broadband provider“, after they failed to include sufficient information to verify their comparisons.

Infracapital-backed UK broadband ISP Gigaclear has announced that the next location to benefit from the rollout of their new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) network will be the small rural town of Wincanton in South Somerset (England) – home to a local population of around 5,300.

Today they’ve launched another NROMR and are opening it up to more suppliers.

London-focused UK ISP CommunityFibre (CF), which aims to cover 2.2 million homes in the city with their 3Gbps capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband network by the end of 2024, has today announced that they’ve increased their coverage to 500,000 homes and 116,000 businesses. Another £100m was also secured.

UK ISP Giganet has today announced that their gigabit speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) broadband service on CityFibre’s network will soon become available nationwide. At present you can only sign-up to CF’s full fibre network via Giganet’s consumer packages in 27 of the operator’s deployed cities and towns, but that will soon change.

A new partnership was recently signed that will enable ISP Virgin Media (VMO2), via a dual lay network (i.e. separate fibre cables laid in a single duct), to deliver its ultrafast broadband, TV, and phone services to new build homes on sites developed through the Open Fibre Networks Limited (OFNL / GTC / BUUK) duct infrastructure.
