Meanwhile their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> UK population coverage has reached 75% (82% by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/ofcom\" target=\"_blank\">Ofcom<\/a>&#8217;s definition).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In fairness <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a>&#8217;s new home broadband (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> Connect<\/strong>) service only became a truly national proposition last month (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2015\/10\/vodafone-expand-home-broadband-and-phone-to-22m-uk-premises.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>) and the operator hasn&#8217;t done a huge amount to promote it since then, thus it&#8217;s too early to judge their growth. At present most of those 75,000 customers are connected to business or LLU lines via third-party ISPs.<\/p>\n<p>On top of that the operator has spent much of the past three months campaigning for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/britishtelecom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">BT<\/a> to be split from control of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/openreach\" target=\"_blank\">Openreach<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2015\/10\/vodafone-uk-and-sky-deliver-a-last-minute-bt-pinata-bashing.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>), while also expanding their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/3g\">3G<\/a> network to a few very remote rural &#8220;<em>notspots<\/em>&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2015\/10\/vodafone-expand-3g-mobile-open-sure-signal-to-first-scottish-village.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>), losing more MVNO partners (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2015\/10\/vodafone-uk-loses-another-mvno-client-as-sainsburys-dropped.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>) and dealing with a minor security breach of their customers personal data (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2015\/11\/vodafone-joins-talktalk-to-suffer-security-breach-of-1827-accounts.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Not to mention the on-going expansion of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> network, which is growing its customer base at a fairly steady pace with +1.3 million subscribers added in Q3 vs +1.5m in Q2 (calendar).<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/wp-content\/gallery\/2015-internet-statistics\/vodafone_q3_2015_results.gif\" alt=\"vodafone q3 2015 results\" \/><\/div>\n<p>At this point we should note that Vodafone&#8217;s home broadband service is also due to add a <strong>Pay TV<\/strong> solution, but today&#8217;s update states that this will &#8220;<em>follow later in the 2016 financial year<\/em>&#8221; (i.e. within the next 9 months because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vodafone.com\/content\/dam\/vodafone\/investors\/financial_results_feeds\/half_year_30september2015\/dl_halfyear2015.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">today&#8217;s results<\/a> represent Q1 15\/16 in financial terms).
