Customers of TalkTalk<\/a>’s Internet and phone services could be forgiven for feeling a little uneasy this morning after several of their websites appeared to wobble. Meanwhile a number of email problems have also hit the provider.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

At this stage there’s no firm indication that the current problems are anything to do with another cyber-attack, although we have asked TalkTalk<\/a> to clarify the situation and are awaiting a reply. Interestingly their website has actually been carrying a very vague advisory about such issues since last Sunday (7th Feb), although their main sites have otherwise been stable.. until now.<\/p>\n

However we are aware that TalkTalk<\/a> is in the progress of developing a new website for their service and it\u2019s possible that this may be related.<\/p>\n

TalkTalk Service Status (7th Feb)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some customers may experience difficulties trying to access and navigate around our websites, if affected please try again later. We’d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and assure you that our engineers are working around the clock to restore service.<\/p>\n

We’ll keep you updated here so check back for updates.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On top of that some customers have also been complaining about problems with their email service. Most of the gripes seem to reflect a variety of problems, such as duplicated mail, missing mail, slow performance and or simply being unable to access their account in order to send and receive messages. Related issues were first identified on 2nd February.<\/p>\n

TalkTalk Email Service Status (2nd Feb)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some customers may experience difficulties when trying to access and use your email account via webmail, email clients such as outlook and mobile devices such as your tablet or smartphone. We\u2019d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused and assure you that our engineers are working around the clock to fully restore service to affected customers.<\/p>\n

Our support agents don\u2019t have any more information that what we\u2019ll provide here as such there is no need to contact us about this issue, we\u2019ll keep you up to date with the latest information right here.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As above, we are also attempting to find out what is being done to resolve the email situation and will update again soon.<\/p>\n

UPDATE 8:43am<\/strong><\/p>\n
