{"id":11662,"date":"2016-05-10T14:34:51","date_gmt":"2016-05-10T13:34:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=11662"},"modified":"2016-05-10T14:34:51","modified_gmt":"2016-05-10T13:34:51","slug":"uk-isp-zen-internet-shifts-billing-platform-cloud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2016\/05\/uk-isp-zen-internet-shifts-billing-platform-cloud.html","title":{"rendered":"UK ISP Zen Internet Shifts its Billing Platform into the Cloud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rochdale-based ISP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/zen_internet\" target=\"_blank\">Zen Internet<\/a> has signed a new deal that will shift its customer billing system into the cloud by harnessing Strategic Imperatives\u2019 new &#8216;Elevate&#8217; platform, which they hope will make the provider more cost effective, responsive and efficient.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The &#8216;Elevate&#8217; platform harnesses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/amazon\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon<\/a>\u2019s Web Services (AWS) to keep the infrastructure scalable and cloud-based, which allows it to <em>&#8220;work in real time; responding instantly to changes in customer and pricing data &#8211; immediately recalculating &#8211; and giving Zen constant oversight of their business performance with all the data they need at their fingertips<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Chris Platt, Zen&#8217;s Head of Systems, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;From a technology perspective Elevate stands head and shoulders above its competitors, but it\u2019s the business benefits the implementation provides that really make a difference in our day to day activity.<\/p>\n<p>Elevate\u2019s impact on Zen was immediate. Its SaaS nature meant that a pre-configured version of the service was up and running very quickly and we were able to process the first live bill run within days. We performed penetration and vulnerability testing on Elevate and it passed with flying colours.
