In order to tackle this the operator has launched &#8216;Rapid&#8217;, which gets a replacement device to the business within 4 hours of an approved insurance claim being made.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Apparently the new device will be delivered, with the battery already charged, by dedicated scooters in London and by courier to addresses across the rest of the country. Furthermore, for every hour beyond the 4 hours <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> will give a small business \u00a310 (up to a maximum of \u00a340). In most cases <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> says customers will get an identical replacement, but they also suggest that there may sometimes be exceptions to this rule.<\/p>\n<p>The new solution is essentially a premium delivery service, which is available on all of Vodafone&#8217;s <strong>Business Premier<\/strong> plans when insurance is added. It&#8217;s also included at no extra cost along with Business Insurance Damage Cover (damage only) when you choose Business Premier 20GB-50GB or Business Premier Global Traveller plans.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Phil Mottram, Enterprise Director at Vodafone UK, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When the potential loss of new business opportunities equates to billions of pounds for small businesses country-wide, and more importantly could mean that a small business misses out on that vital call, it\u2019s business critical to get replacement phones into the hands of business owners as quickly as possible when they find their mobile is lost, stolen or damaged. This is where Vodafone Rapid comes in \u2013 getting the country\u2019s small business population back up and running with a replacement phone within just four hours.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The figure of \u00a312k+ was arrived at via a YouGov survey of more than 1,000 small businesses with up to 9 employees, which predicted that on average they would miss out on almost four new business opportunities in a working day when their work mobile is out of action. Apparently the average opportunity was valued at more than \u00a33k, which makes us wonder if most of the businesses were high-end jewellery stores or investment bankers rather than local shops or other similarly small firms.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere 67% of respondents said a mobile phone is vital to the running of their organisation and 20% had seen their phone become lost, stolen or damaged. Meanwhile 55% said that they don&#8217;t have business phone insurance, which is obviously something that Vodafone hope to change.
