Three UK<\/a> has announced that indoor mobile coverage on their 4G<\/a> (LTE) network has increased from 80% in June 2013 to 92% now, which is largely thanks to the boost from their on-going roll-out of the lower frequency 800MHz band. Elsewhere 42 new roaming destinations have also been added.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

So far the 800MHz<\/strong> band, which is helping to support their new Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) service called SuperVoice<\/strong>, has only been rolled out to 13% of Three UK<\/a>’s network and they anticipate that indoor coverage should reach 95% by the end of 2016 as the deployment continues, which the operator claims will benefit a further 4 million people.<\/p>\n

In addition, Three UK<\/a>’s annual update said that their customers are now using 5.4GB (GigaBytes) of Mobile Broadband data a month on average and that’s up from around 3.4GB last year.<\/p>\n

Dave Dyson, Three UK’s CEO, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I am proud that our customers are more willing to recommend us than those of any other operator and we will continue to build a modern mobile business that delivers what today\u2019s customers need. I want to continue to lead the industry on mobile data usage and network reliability and my immediate focus is securing more spectrum which will allow us to gain further scale and become a stronger influence on the industry.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On top of that Three UK also announced that their customers will be able to enjoy roaming at no extra cost in 42 countries from September 2016, with the addition of 24 new destinations to their related Feel At Home<\/strong> service. This will include popular destinations like Germany, Greece and Poland.<\/p>\n
