{"id":12611,"date":"2016-10-03T13:15:13","date_gmt":"2016-10-03T12:15:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=12611"},"modified":"2016-10-03T13:15:13","modified_gmt":"2016-10-03T12:15:13","slug":"cityfibre-expand-fibre-optic-network-deals-onecom-eunetworks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2016\/10\/cityfibre-expand-fibre-optic-network-deals-onecom-eunetworks.html","title":{"rendered":"Cityfibre Expand Fibre Optic Network Deals with Onecom and euNetworks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fibre optic (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/fttp\">FTTP<\/a>) network builder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/cityfibre\" target=\"_blank\">Cityfibre<\/a> has announced the first capacity sale on its Manchester network to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eunetworks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">euNetworks<\/a> and they&#8217;ve separately expanded their relationship with business ISP <a href=\"http:\/\/onecom.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Onecom<\/a> to add more customers on their new networks in Coventry, Leicester and Nottingham (England).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>First up is euNetworks, an international metro fibre provider that last week signed a <strong>\u00a30.5m<\/strong> deal with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/cityfibre\" target=\"_blank\">Cityfibre<\/a> to access the group&#8217;s 40km long fibre optic network in Manchester for a term of 15 years, which will enable them to &#8220;<em>serve its enterprise customer base across an expanded data centre footprint in the city<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Greg Mesch, CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/cityfibre\" target=\"_blank\">CityFibre<\/a>, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re very pleased to add euNetworks &#8230; to our growing ecosystem of service provider customers. Today&#8217;s agreement demonstrates the value of CityFibre&#8217;s metro local access footprints outside the very competitive London market, which are highly complementary to the network presence of many leading enterprise carriers focused on the Capital. We look forward to working with euNetworks across our national estate in future.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Elsewhere Cityfibre has today signed an additional contract with Onecom, which recently became the operator&#8217;s commercial launch partner for their Southend-on-Sea network.<\/p>\n<p>However Cityfibre&#8217;s new <strong>\u00a33.2m<\/strong> and 5-year deal will commit Onecom to 300 incremental connections across their three network footprints in Coventry, Leicester and Nottingham (this brings into commercial production the Nottingham and Leicester assets acquired in January 2016 from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/kcom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">KCOM<\/a>).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Greg Mesch, CEO of CityFibre, added:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re very pleased with the rapid development of our new relationship with Onecom. In less than a month, Onecom has expanded its presence on the CityFibre footprint to four cities &#8211; the fastest multi-city ramp-up of any of our partners to date.<\/p>\n<p>In the short time we&#8217;ve been working together, Onecom have recognised that our growing network footprint allows them to address their large and diverse national customer base with innovative and differentiated new gigabit fibre connectivity options at highly attractive prices.
