{"id":12774,"date":"2016-10-26T13:56:47","date_gmt":"2016-10-26T12:56:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=12774"},"modified":"2016-10-26T13:57:38","modified_gmt":"2016-10-26T12:57:38","slug":"essex-council-offers-funding-support-community-wifi-networks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2016\/10\/essex-council-offers-funding-support-community-wifi-networks.html","title":{"rendered":"Essex Council Offers Funding to Support Community WiFi Networks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.essex.gov.uk\" target=\"_blank\">Essex County Council<\/a> (ECC) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.superfastessex.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Superfast Essex<\/a> project have recently introduced a new Community Wi-Fi Scheme, which offers small grants to help local communities to setup a public <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/wifi\">WiFi<\/a> network via community hubs (village hall, community centre etc.).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The scheme is aimed at but not limited to community hubs that have already been enabled to access &#8220;<em>superfast broadband<\/em>&#8221; (<strong>24Mbps+<\/strong>) connectivity.
