UK ISP BT<\/a> has today taken the odd decision to pre-announce their home broadband, mobile and TV discounts for the forthcoming Black Friday sale event, which will launch on 22nd November 2016 and last for seven days.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Most of the special offers should knock a few \u00a3 pounds per month off BT<\/a>’s usual pricing. For example, at present you can take their standard ‘up to’ 17Mbps unlimited broadband and line rental package for \u00a324.99 per month (plus \u00a39.99 router delivery), but from 22nd November this will be reduced to \u00a322.99 per month and it’s a similar story on other packages.<\/p>\n

However the current broadband packages are also being offered alongside the choice of a \u00a375 or \u00a3125 BT<\/a> Reward Card (Mastercard) and at this point it’s unclear if those will be removed or reduced in value when the new discounts go live.<\/p>\n

It’s unclear why BT is announcing this so far ahead of the offers actually going live as it will surely create confusion for consumers who sign-up between now and 22nd November, but we suspect this is just a way to drum up some extra publicity.<\/p>\n

However it is worth considering that BT’s post-contract prices for their packages can often be much more expensive than those promoted on their website (always check the small print for their offers), so be mindful of that if you expect to stay after the initial contract has completed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
