The Pembrokeshire Housing<\/a> association, which provides over 2,500 homes across the Welsh County, has secured \u00a3200,000 of funding from the national UK lottery (Big Lottery Fund) to help upgrade its rural tenants to faster and more affordable broadband connections.<\/p>\n

Apparently the 3-year digital inclusion project should begin in April 2017<\/strong>. The new investment will also be used to purchase a van that can help to provide digital access to tenants throughout Pembrokeshire. A number of new staff will also be recruited to run training course that can help to get new users online.<\/p>\n

Jayne O’Hara, Housing Manager, said (Western Telegraph<\/a>):<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Our tenants asked us for support to access affordable broadband and getting online, particularly in rural areas. We are delighted to have been awarded a People and Places Grant offer of \u00a3205,432 to enable us to run our \u2018Get Connected\u2019 project.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
