Internet provider iDNET<\/a> has chosen Friday the 13th as the day to launch its new “optimised<\/em>” broadband package for online gamers, which promises that subscribers will benefit from “low latency, fast pings, a static IP address and plenty of under-subscribed bandwidth to ensure a fast stable connection<\/em>“<\/p>\n

As part of this the ISP has created a microsite for “pro-gamers to review and configure gaming package options, prices, and router specifications<\/em>“, which is available here: http:\/\/gaming.idnet.uk<\/a> . The gaming broadband package also offers the option of a “battle-ready<\/em>” pre-configured router (iDNET<\/a> claims to have tested a number of routers across their network and have identified their top 3 for customers to choose from).<\/p>\n

iDNET<\/a>’s Gaming Router Options<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

* ASUS RT- AC3200 Tri-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi Router with Comtrend VDSL Modem
\n* TP-Link AC1900 Wireless Gigabit VDSL\/ADSL<\/a> Modem Router Archer VR900
\n* Netduma R1 Router with Comtrend VDSL Modem<\/p>\n

Note: The Asus and Netduma routers come with a Comtrend modem while the TP-Link unit has a built in modem.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

After that customers can pick from either an ‘up to’ 76Mbps FTTC<\/a> (VDSL2<\/a>) “fibre broadband<\/em>” package with unlimited usage for \u00a361.80 inc. VAT per month or a slower ADSL2+ based copper line service for \u00a347.20 per month. The price includes the cost of line rental with standard call charges (inc. caller display, call waiting, call barring, choose to refuse, anonymous call reject and number withhold), although Anytime UK Calls can be added from an extra +\u00a36 per month.<\/p>\n

Tim Davies, iDNET<\/a> Director, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n
