The John Henry Group<\/a>, which helps to build new fibre optic broadband and telecoms infrastructure for major UK operators, has appointed the former Managing Director of Virgin Media Business<\/a>, Mark Heraghty, to be its new Non-Executive chairman.<\/p>\n

The move appears to be a wise one given JHG’s close involvement with Virgin Media<\/a>’s Project Lighting<\/strong> network expansion. At present Mark Heraghty is currently a Non-Executive Director at data centre firm Interxion and a Strategic Advisor to SourceConnect.net, although before that he was also CEO of Cable & Wireless Europe and held various roles at Mercury Communications and of course VMB.<\/p>\n

Mark Heraghty, Non-Executive Chairman of JHG, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a very interesting business having developed excellent client relationships with UK network providers and delivering new innovations, such as narrow trenching.<\/p>\n
