The ITS Technology Group<\/a>, which has deployed a mix of superfast and ultrafast fibre optic and wireless broadband networks around the United Kingdom, claims to have put their new “national network<\/em>” live after recently securing fresh investment of \u00a32.25m from Maven Capital Partners.<\/p>\n

ITS states that the additional funding, which was signed off in July 2017, has enabled them to invest in new “carrier grade hardware<\/em>” that is being used to power their core local and newer national network. As a result ITS has now added the role of traditional ISP to their portfolio, with each of their 21 networks connecting directly to the internet.<\/p>\n

The operator also has a presence in Telehouse North, Telehouse East and Manchester, which house their own hardware. In addition, ITS have also become a London Internet Exchange (LINX) member, which supports a more direct connection for all customers, to UK based websites.<\/p>\n

Apparently all 21 of their current networks will now be migrated on to the new national network (note: most of the new kit being used is from Huawei), including those that exist across North Wales, Nottingham, Bristol and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. New products are also being anticipated (e.g. VoIP, unified communication and cloud based services).<\/p>\n

Rod Lawrence, ITS’s Head of Product and Network Strategy, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It mitigates cost complexity and risk for our multisite enterprise customers throughout the UK.
