{"id":15407,"date":"2018-02-02T00:01:49","date_gmt":"2018-02-02T00:01:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=15407"},"modified":"2018-02-02T09:51:04","modified_gmt":"2018-02-02T09:51:04","slug":"q4-2017-map-europe-uk-countries-mobile-data-speed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2018\/02\/q4-2017-map-europe-uk-countries-mobile-data-speed.html","title":{"rendered":"Q4 2017 Map of Europe and UK Countries by Mobile Data Speed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest Q4 2017 crowd-sourced data from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rfbenchmark.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RFBenchmark<\/a> has compared various European countries by their Mobile Broadband (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/3g\">3G<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a>) performance, which found that the UK delivered an average download speed of 16.9Mbps (7.85Mbps upload) and latency of 101ms (milliseconds).<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The data itself was gathered by analysing tests conducted via users of the RFBenchmark mobile application. As such we should caution that gathering data in this way, via lots of different Smartphones, can be subject to the differences \/ limits of end-user hardware, as well as general variations in local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/3g\">3G<\/a> \/ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> coverage and capacity etc. The similar reports from Open Signal (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2017\/02\/united-kingdom-ranks-26th-world-mobile-broadband-speed.html\">here<\/a>) are also worth checking out.<\/p>\n<p>Broadly speaking the results suggest that most countries seem to be on about the same sort of performance level as the United Kingdom for download performance, except for the slowpokes of Ireland, Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Luxembourg.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-none\" style=\"border-radius: 4px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/wp-content\/gallery\/2018-uk-internet-statistics\/rfbenchmark_q4_2017_mobile_download_speed_eu.png\" alt=\"rfbenchmark_q4_2017_mobile_download_speed_eu\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><strong>The highest average data download speed in Europe<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>1.
