New customers looking to take Vodafone<\/a>’s home superfast broadband package(s) should take note that they can now choose from one of four gadgets to have bundled for free, which include the GoPro HERO, Fitbit Charge 2, Sonos Play:1 Wireless Speaker and Amazon<\/a> Echo (RRPs up to \u00a3199.99).<\/p>\n

One crafty twist in all this is that the ISP has recently increased their monthly prices for new customers by +\u00a33 extra, although arguably the new gadget gifts are worth a fair bit more than the price increase but that will be for each person to judge individually.<\/p>\n

Otherwise both of the FTTC<\/a> (VDSL2<\/a>) based packages include a wireless router, unlimited usage, phone line rental, Parental Controls, 6 months of free F-Secure anti-virus software for up to 5 devices and an 18 month minimum term contract. A new line provision charge of \u00a360 (one-off) may also apply if you don’t currently have a fixed phone line at your property.<\/p>\n

As before the monthly prices are +\u00a31 higher for subscribers that aren’t existing users of Vodafone<\/a>’s mobile network, but even without this it’s still pretty cheap.<\/p>\n

The offer of a free gadget is expected to last until 3rd September 2018 or until stocks run out. Take note that at the end of the order process we found that Vodafone<\/a> said, “Please note, your monthly bill will increase by \u00a33 a month after your initial 18 month minimum contract<\/em>” (they should really be saying that on the main product page too).<\/p>\n
