Consumer telecoms provider BT Mobile<\/a> has today expanded their UK range of EE<\/a> based 4G<\/a> Mobile services by introducing their own set of SIM Only Data plans, which naturally include bonuses and value-added extras for customers of their existing fixed line broadband ISP services.<\/p>\n

Data SIMs are typically designed for those who only need a Mobile Broadband connection (no mobile calls or texts) so as to run their Tablet or Laptop computer while away from home, although they can also be handy as a back-up solution in case your fixed line service goes down. If those devices don’t have their own SIM slot then you can instead put them inside a dedicated Mobile Broadband adapter (e.g. USB Dongle).<\/p>\n

At launch BT<\/a> are offering four Data SIM Only plans, all of which come with a 30 day money back guarantee, 12 month contract, roaming support in 47 international destinations and “free<\/em>” access to over 5 million of BT<\/a>’s UK WiFi<\/a> hotspots. Existing BT Broadband customers will also benefit from a -\u00a35 monthly price reduction on the plans and BT Plus subscribers can get double the stated data allowance.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile those on the 6GB (GigaBytes) data plan or higher will also get free access to BT Sport. Details of the new plans are below and we also note that top 30GB plan is being offered at a slight price reduction and with an \u00a380 BT Reward Card (pre-paid Mastercard) included.<\/p>\n

The pricing is only slightly different to what EE<\/a> charge for their own Data SIMs, which is to be expected. But it’s worth nothing that if you don’t have a BT Broadband service then BT’s new Data SIM prices are a bit more expensive than those of their rivals.
