{"id":20406,"date":"2019-12-11T09:00:07","date_gmt":"2019-12-11T09:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=20406"},"modified":"2019-12-11T07:28:18","modified_gmt":"2019-12-11T07:28:18","slug":"mll-telecom-overhauls-bournemouth-poole-and-christchurch-network","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2019\/12\/mll-telecom-overhauls-bournemouth-poole-and-christchurch-network.html","title":{"rendered":"MLL Telecom Overhauls Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Network"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Business focused UK ISP <a href=\"https:\/\/mlltelecom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MLL Telecom<\/a> has today been awarded a new contract by the Bournemouth, Christchurch &amp; Poole Council (BCP) in Dorset to overhaul and consolidate three existing public sector network infrastructures (Wide Area Networks), totalling 83 sites, into one unified network.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Assuming all goes to plan then it\u2019s expected that public sector organisations in the region will benefit from enhanced network capacity and support for a number of new services, including migration to Microsoft Office 365, deployment of Skype for business and cloud-first programs based on Microsoft Azure.<\/p>\n<p>The overhaul of the existing <strong>Wide Area Networks<\/strong> (WANs) will be completed using a combination of circuits from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/openreach\" target=\"_blank\">Openreach<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/britishtelecom\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">BT<\/a>) and &#8220;<em>full fibre<\/em>&#8221; builder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/cityfibre\" target=\"_blank\">Cityfibre<\/a>. The work isn&#8217;t expected to take long and indeed the first phase of this project is scheduled for completion in March 2020.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Marc Biondic, BCP IT Infrastructure Manager, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Following our merger with Poole and Christchurch back in April, we have recognised the need to re-assess our current connectivity solutions. Three local authorities coming together combined outdated legacy infrastructure that simply wasn\u2019t able to meet our needs We\u2019re excited to be embarking on this project with MLL Telecom to futureproof our connectivity needs and underpin our digital growth strategy.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Jeremy Wastie, Regional Director of MLL Telecom, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The South is proving to be an exciting region for network innovation and transformation.
