Mobile network operator EE<\/a> (BT<\/a>) has announced that they will launch a new range of Pay As You Go<\/a> (PAYG) mobile packs tomorrow, which will start from just \u00a35 (currently \u00a310) and give you more calling minutes and a bigger 4G<\/a> data allowance (mobile broadband) than the standard packs.<\/p>\n

In addition, PAYG customers on a \u00a310 Pack or higher will now automatically earn a free 500MB data boost<\/strong> every two months on their second pack purchase for a full year, with existing customers able to retain an already earned boost. EE<\/a> is also offering a 10% discount to customers who choose direct card payment.<\/p>\n

PAYG customers will also still benefit from EE<\/a>’s Data Rollover feature for unused data (i.e. it gets rolled over into the next pack you buy) and any customer who refers a friend to join EE<\/a> on a \u00a310 Pack or higher will receive a \u00a310 Amazon<\/a>.co.uk gift card. Otherwise, the new packs are listed below, and we assume they will all still follow the same 30-day expiry period as existed before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

One catch here is that EE’s existing PAYG Summer Special Offer means that you can currently get more data on some of their existing plans (e.g. the \u00a310 pack gives you 8GB vs the usual 4GB and the \u00a320 pack gives you 50GB instead of the usual 15GB). Of course, none of these are what we’d consider to be true PAYG plans (i.e. pay only for what you use), which have become increasingly hard to find in today’s market.
