ISP Pure Broadband<\/a>, which serves consumers covered by both KCOM<\/a> and CityFibre<\/a>’s full fibre (FTTP<\/a>) networks across the UK, has appointed Tony Jopling to be its new Managing Director (MD) and his first goal is to double the company’s growth over the next three years.<\/p>\n

Tony was previously Pure Broadband’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) and, prior to that, he led the consumer and business service centres at KCOM<\/a>. Going even further back, Tony spent around 10 years in the finance sector with NatWest Bank and GE Capital.<\/p>\n

The exact plan for how Pure Broadband will double its growth remains unclear, but the new MD talks about growing the “reach of customers<\/em>” and becoming a “true alternative service provider in Hull<\/em>“. In practice, we can probably expect wider advertising and a more competitive product offering via KCOM<\/a>’s network. The ISP will also benefit from CityFibre<\/a>’s ongoing network expansion.<\/p>\n

Tony Jopling, Pure Broadband MD, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m really excited to be taking Pure Broadband forward as managing director. We\u2019ve gone through a period of growth and change in recent years. From being a \u2018traditional\u2019 wireless network provider we have become a true fibre internet service provider using the latest technology, all while offering great customer service.<\/p>\n

Our future plan is simple \u2013 to double our revenue growth in the next three years. It sounds ambitious but we\u2019ve seen good growth and, with the help of our fantastic team, we are confident we can continue that. To get to that point we\u2019ll firstly be looking to grow the reach of customers while working with our national partners and, secondly, by becoming a true alternative service provider in Hull by keeping it pure and simple \u2013 just as it says on the tin.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a busy year for us, we have moved into new offices, started our rollout plans across nine Yorkshire cities with City Fibre, expanding into towns in East Yorkshire, we\u2019re launching a new website this autumn, have invested in technology and our people, and recruited a number of local people \u2013 including Sally Kirkwood [new service operations manager] – to support our growth.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
