New and upgrading customers who take one of EE<\/a>‘s “Smart<\/em>” 4G<\/a> and 5G<\/a> tablet, laptop or data SIM (mobile broadband) plans can now optionally choose from an additional Smart Benefit to add in the shape of Microsoft’s 365 Personal office software, which can be used on up to 5 devices across Windows, Mac OS, iOS and Android systems.<\/p>\n

The Microsoft 365 Personal<\/strong> subscription typically provides customers with access to Office Premium apps, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook, as well as access to Skype and 1TB (TeraByte) of OneDrive cloud storage. This could be handy given the current trend of working from home.<\/p>\n

Customers on these plans will also benefit from the recently announced Stay Connected<\/strong> service, which effectively gives you unlimited data but at a reduced connection speed. It works by automatically switching on once a customer has used up all their monthly data allowance, but the catch is that it will drop your mobile broadband speeds back to just 0.5Mbps (2Mbps if you’re an NHS Worker).<\/p>\n

Alternatively, there are other “Smart Benefits<\/em>” to choose from, such as one for Netflix<\/strong> viewing, as well as BT<\/a> Sport Ultimate<\/strong> access, the Roam Abroad Pass<\/strong> (i.e. using your allowance in various other counties) and the Video Data Pass<\/strong>, which enables you to stream content from various platforms without eating into your data allowance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
