UK ISP Box Broadband, which is now part of CommunityFibre<\/a> (here<\/a>) and has already extended their own Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP<\/a>) broadband network to cover 7,000 homes across parts of Surrey and West Sussex (England), has today become the latest provider to bundle in Netgem’s pay TV box and service.<\/p>\n

Netgem has already been widely adopted by a growing number of ISPs, particularly smaller alternative networks. The set-top-boxes that they provide – Netbox HD<\/strong> and Netbox 4K<\/strong> – tend to be similar to some of those supplied by rival video streaming companies, including the usual array of premium content (sports), apps (Amazon<\/a>, BTSport, hayu, Rakuten TV, YouTube etc.), live TV channels (Freeview) and catch-up content.<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> CF’s investment in Box is expected to support an “accelerated [FTTP<\/a>] network roll-out<\/em>” to 200,000 homes<\/strong> across the South of England by 2024.<\/div>\n

At present, Box are planning to build and deliver in excess of 60,000 new homes over the next 12 months, and having the ability to offer a TV product is something that can help when trying to peel away subscribers from rival networks. Box Broadband’s 100Mbps broadband and TV bundles will thus start from only \u00a339.90 per month (100Mbps is \u00a329.95 without the TV solution).<\/p>\n

According to the spin, “The new offering enables Box Broadband customers to access more than 200 free and premium channels including 80 extra channels to Freeview available at home or on the go on mobile. Netgem TV also completes the Freeview Play service with hundreds of extra box sets and movies for free, and the widest choice of \u201cadd on” subscription apps in the market, all on one slick award-winning 4K TV Box and via a Mobile App<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

Graham Sargood, CEO of Box Broadband, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n
