{"id":2975,"date":"2013-03-28T08:20:24","date_gmt":"2013-03-28T08:20:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=2975"},"modified":"2013-03-28T09:11:55","modified_gmt":"2013-03-28T09:11:55","slug":"ee-reaches-50-uk-4g-mobile-broadband-coverage-milestone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2013\/03\/ee-reaches-50-uk-4g-mobile-broadband-coverage-milestone.html","title":{"rendered":"EE Reaches 50% UK 4G Mobile Broadband Coverage Milestone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mobile operator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/eebroadband\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">EE<\/a> (4GEE) has today issued a new rollout update that confirms how its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> (LTE at 1800MHz) based Mobile Broadband network is now available to <strong>50% of the UK population<\/strong> and the service has also gone live in a total of 50 towns and cities.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The operator notes that the latest <strong>13 towns and cities<\/strong> to benefit from its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> service include Bradford, Bingley, Doncaster, Dudley, Harpenden, Leicester, Lichfield, Loughborough, Luton, Reading, Shipley, St Albans and West Bromwich.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/eebroadband\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">EE<\/a> currently expects its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> network coverage to reach 55% of the United Kingdom by summer 2013 when a total of 80 towns and cities should be enabled.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Olaf Swantee, CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/eebroadband\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">EE<\/a>, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>With these major milestones of 50 towns and cities and 50% of the population, we\u2019re remaining ahead of our schedule to equip UK consumers and businesses with 4G.
