Aviva-backed ISP County Broadband<\/a>, which aims to cover 500,000 premises in the rural East of England with their gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP<\/a>) network by the end of 2027, has today revealed that their company will become home to 270 employees by the end of this year (up from 170 today).<\/p>\n

The announcement comes after the provider secured another \u00a3100m from Aviva Investors<\/a><\/strong> (this is in addition to the \u00a346m that kicked everything off in 2018). Today County Broadband is building full fibre across a total of 220 villages and other communities in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> Aviva also back other full fibre providers, such as Truespeed<\/a> (here<\/a>) and ITS Technology<\/a> (here<\/a>).<\/div>\n

The workforce expansion follows years of growth at County Broadband, which expanded from just a dozen employees in early 2018 to reach 110 by April 2021 and 170 today. The future addition of 100 jobs will be created to fill roles spanning across network operations, design, build, IT, customer services, community engagement and other departments.<\/p>\n

Prices for their service may vary between areas, but in most cases new customers will typically pay from \u00a328 per month (excluding discounts) for an unlimited symmetric speed 50Mbps service with a bundled wireless router and free installation, then \u00a348 for 300Mbps, \u00a355 for 600Mbps and \u00a380 for 900Mbps.
