Earlier this year giffgaff<\/a> announced that, in order to help ease the burden of rising costs, they would freeze the prices on all of their UK tariffs for the rest of 2022. The good news is that they’ve now made the decision to extend this by freezing their UK prices until the end of 2023.<\/p>\n

The move comes at a time when many mobile network operators (MNO), particularly a lot of the largest players, have instead been hiking their prices above the current level of surging inflation. By comparison, Giffgaff<\/a>’s decision means there will not be any price rises for calls, texts, and data (mobile broadband) made or used within the UK for the next 15 months, “giving you all one less thing to worry about<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> Giffgaff<\/a> is an O2<\/a> (VMO2) based Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO).<\/div>\n

Just to be clear. The price freeze applies to their Pay As You Go (PAYG), goodybags, existing products and all UK rates only until 31st December 2023. But it naturally excludes international rates and roaming, which are subject to different charges from third-party operators.<\/p>\n

Giffgaff CEO, Ash Schofield, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“We recognise that our members have enough to worry about right now with rising costs of household bills, without thinking about their mobile phone bills for the year ahead too. That\u2019s why we\u2019re giving them certainty by fixing our UK prices until the end of 2023. By sharing the news well in advance of the new year, we hope this gives our members peace of mind that their giffgaff bills won\u2019t increase.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
