Mobile network operator O2<\/a> UK (VMO2) has today announced the launch of their new ‘Rolling Plan’, which they say will give customers who need added flexibility the ability to pay monthly for their data (mobile broadband), minutes, and texts, without committing to a long-term contract.<\/p>\n

At this point some people might start to become a bit confused because O2<\/a> already offers a 30-day option on their Pay Monthly mobile plans, but the new ‘Rolling Plans<\/strong>‘ are designed to be more of a hybrid between Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) and Pay Monthly.<\/p>\n

Customers on the new plan will, for example, be able to change their data and international minute allowances to suit their needs and usage, or cancel the plan at any time. You’ll also be able to setup reoccurring payments, not unlike a Pay Monthly plan. Similarly, if customers use all their data allowance early, they\u2019ll be able to buy a new monthly plan to start at any time, allowing them to switch package when it suits.<\/p>\n

The new Rolling Plans are available to both new and existing customers alongside the following launch offers until 28th December 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

New Rolling Plan Deals<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a310 for 25GB per month and unlimited calls and minutes (Usually is 10GB)
\n\u00a315 for 70GB per month and unlimited calls and minutes (Usually is 25GB)
\n\u00a330 for 200GB per month and unlimited calls and minutes (Usually is 150GB)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Just for comparison, O2<\/a>’s cheapest Pay Monthly SIM-Only plan on a regular 30-day term costs \u00a320 per month for unlimited minutes\/calls and just 1GB (GigaByte) of data, which is not a particularly attractive price point. The same money on a 24-month term would get you a data allowance of 120GB, as well as various other bonuses etc.<\/p>\n

Gareth Turpin, Chief Commercial Officer at VMO2, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“At the time of a cost-of-living crisis we know some people are looking for more flexibility, which is why we\u2019ve created Rolling Plan. For those not wanting to commit to a fixed-term contract or having to top up a Pay As You Go SIM each month, these plans allow customers to only pay for the data and minutes they need in a way that suits them best. It\u2019s the ultimate hassle-free mobile plan for those that just want to keep things basic.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Customers will also get other benefits, such as access to O2 Priority, which gives exclusive access to events at O2 venues as well as a range of deals and offers, and free roaming in the EU. Data rollover will also be available on the Rolling Plan, so that customers can rollover any unused data over into the next month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
