{"id":33272,"date":"2022-12-23T10:09:55","date_gmt":"2022-12-23T10:09:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=33272"},"modified":"2022-12-23T10:11:28","modified_gmt":"2022-12-23T10:11:28","slug":"three-uk-extends-4g-mobile-cover-on-the-london-underground","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2022\/12\/three-uk-extends-4g-mobile-cover-on-the-london-underground.html","title":{"rendered":"Three UK Extends 4G Mobile Cover on the London Underground"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mobile operator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/threeuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Three UK<\/a> has today followed the earlier announcements from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/eebroadband\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">EE<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> by confirming that their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> (mobile broadband) network is also now live across six new stations on the London Underground (tube) network (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2022\/12\/ee-uk-extend-4g-mobile-to-six-new-london-underground-stations.html\">here<\/a>), covering parts of both the Central and Northern lines.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The latest expansion builds on the pilot coverage already available via the Jubilee line between Westminster and Canning Town. Coverage is now live at and between Holland Park, Notting Hill Gate and Queensway on the Central line, with Archway, Tufnell Park and Kentish Town on the Northern line also live. Following further testing over Christmas, this will then be extended to include Camden Town, Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus in the New Year.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bq2\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/o2uk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">O2<\/a> (VMO2), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/threeuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Three UK<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/eebroadband\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">EE<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> have all signed deals to harness the new infrastructure. The new network is classed as \u201c<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/5g\">5G<\/a>-ready<\/em>\u201c.<\/div>\n<p>The new neutral host distributed antenna system (DAS) network, which is being built by <strong>BAI Communications<\/strong> for all mobile operators to access via wholesale, eventually aims to cover the entire London Underground by late 2024 (ticket halls, platforms and tunnels).
