Network builder and UK ISP FACTCO<\/a> has today announced that their new gigabit-capable Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP<\/a>) broadband network is being extended to cover three villages in rural parts of Cheshire (England), including more than 1,000 properties across Crowton, Kingsley and Norley.<\/p>\n

Construction of the new network, which is being supported by funding from the Government’s Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme<\/a> <\/strong>(GBVS), started this month and the first customer connections are currently expected to go live during the Spring of this year. The vouchers provide grants worth up to \u00a34,500<\/strong> towards the cost of installing full fibre in a rural home or business.<\/p>\n

Customers can normally expect to pay from \u00a324.99 per month for a 100Mbps service on a 24-month term, which includes a free router and installation, while the top 1000Mbps package is just \u00a344.99 per month. As an added bonus for those in the three villages, the first 6 months of service will be free.<\/p>\n
