Infracapital-backed UK ISP Ogi<\/a>, which is investing \u00a3200 million to roll-out a new Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP<\/a>) network across 150,000 premises in South Wales by 2025, has signed a 10-year deal with Fontygary Leisure Park in the Vale of Glamorgan that will enable around 500 holiday homes to be connected to their full fibre lines.<\/p>\n

The deal will bring gigabit-capable connectivity to long-term park residents and holidaymakers for the first time, with leisure park staff also being upskilled to install and manage the new service in the process.<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> Ogi<\/a> currently has a workforce of 200 – based in four offices across the region. The coverage total of 60,000 premises mentioned below are not all Ready for Service (RFS is about 10% lower).<\/div>\n

Speaking as work gets underway, Andrew Dow, Ogi’s Director of Business Sales, said: “We\u2019re really excited to be welcoming Fontygary to the Ogi network. This landmark deal is a real gamechanger for us and, I hope, residents and visitors to the park, who\u2019ll all benefit from our ultrafast and ultra-reliable Welsh broadband speeds<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

The operator, which is now working in parts of over 60 towns and villages across Wales (they also have a small presence in South West England), recently reported that they had covered a total of 60,000 premises to July 2023 (up from 47,500 in March 2023) and had added 6,000 customers “in less than a year<\/em>” (here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Customers of the service can expect to pay from \u00a330 per month for an unlimited plan with downloads of 150Mbps (15Mbps upload) and an included wireless router on a 24-month term, which rises to \u00a360 for their top 900Mbps (90Mbps upload) plan. New customers will also get six months FREE broadband and evening and weekend voice calling.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
