{"id":35367,"date":"2023-08-08T09:30:19","date_gmt":"2023-08-08T08:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=35367"},"modified":"2023-08-21T10:20:09","modified_gmt":"2023-08-21T09:20:09","slug":"full-fibre-uk-isp-brsk-pick-neo-networks-to-boost-network-capacity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2023\/08\/full-fibre-uk-isp-brsk-pick-neo-networks-to-boost-network-capacity.html","title":{"rendered":"Full Fibre UK ISP Brsk Pick Neos Networks to Boost Network Capacity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Network builder and broadband ISP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brsk.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brsk<\/a>, which has already deployed their gigabit speed Fibre-to-the-Premises (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/fttp\">FTTP<\/a>) network to cover 266,000 UK premises (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2023\/05\/brsk-reveals-uk-full-fibre-rollout-plan-for-800000-premises.html\">rollout plan<\/a>), has today confirmed that they&#8217;ve chosen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/neos\" target=\"_blank\">Neos Networks<\/a> to provide them with diverse national backhaul services as they expand their coverage.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Last year saw brsk, which currently focuses their rollout on parts of Greater Manchester, Lancashire, West Yorkshire and the West Midlands of England, secure a funding boost of \u201c<em>up to<\/em>\u201d <strong>\u00a3178m<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2022\/09\/isp-brsk-secure-178m-funding-boost-for-uk-full-fibre-rollout.html\">here<\/a>). The operator holds a long-term aim of passing<strong> 1 million homes<\/strong> by 2026 and some of their existing locations include Cottingley, Keighley and Bingley, Clayton, Allerton &amp; Sandy Lane, Bradford, Queensbury, Thornton, Accrington and more.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bq2\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> Brsk is supported by funding from Advencap and the Ares Management Corp.<\/div>\n<p>However, such growth needs to be supported by plenty of data capacity, which is where the new deal with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/neos\" target=\"_blank\">Neos Networks<\/a> and their 100Gbps optical connectivity comes in. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/neos\" target=\"_blank\">Neos Networks<\/a> initially provided 10Gbps Ethernet services, but as customer numbers grew, the connections were migrated to 100Gbps Optical services. Neos&#8217; current fibre network spans 34,000km and 550 UK exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>One other useful bit of detail in today&#8217;s report is that figure of 266,000 premises passed, which is up from the 200,000 announced in May 2023 &#8211; an impressive improvement in such a short space of time. But as usual with these things, it&#8217;s unclear whether those are all &#8216;<em>Ready for Service<\/em>&#8216; (RFS) by consumers.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Jody Botham, Head of Networks at brsk, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Providing customers with high quality, reliable broadband is our main priority. We also want to give them the resilience and capacity they not only require, but expect, of connectivity services. Neos has been very supportive of this and has helped to drive our growth plans.
