Mobile network operator and broadband ISP EE<\/a> have today officially launched their new paid EE<\/a> TV service to customers, which is largely a re-branding of the BT<\/a> TV service and one that includes a few changes. This is all part of the group’s ongoing effort to turn the provider into their \u201cflagship brand for our consumer customers<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n

As previously reported, the “new<\/em>” EE<\/a> TV product is largely using the same kit that BT<\/a> TV has previously deployed, such as the “aerial-free<\/em>” (streaming only) TV Box Pro and TV Box Mini hardware (STB). But EE TV will also launch on Apple TV 4K via a new app with a bespoke TV guide – offering consumers a live TV experience featuring over 70 Freeview channels including BBC<\/a>, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 and more, plus a new EE branded remote.<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> A one-off activation fee of \u00a330 applies regardless of set-to-box chosen (P&P charges may also apply).<\/div>\n

EE TV will also offer a wide selection of on-demand content via the usual apps, including iPlayer (BBC<\/a>), Sky channels from NOW TV<\/a>, Netflix, Amazon<\/a> (Prime), TNT Sports, Discovery+ and more. In addition, Apple TV+ will be available to new EE TV customers with a 6-month free trial.<\/p>\n

New TV customers can also take out a multi-room option at “no extra charge<\/em>“, provided you choose either an EE TV with Apple TV 4K, EE TV Box Pro or EE TV Box Mini (multi-room gives you an extra mini box).
