City-focused broadband ISP Hyperoptic<\/a>, which has so far extended their gigabit full fibre (FTTP<\/a>\/B) network to cover \u201cmore than<\/em>\u201d 1.6 million UK homes (as well as 300k customers) across parts of 64 towns and cities, has appointed ex-BT<\/a> figure Kathryn Bowden to be their the new Director of Regulation, Policy, Risk, and Compliance.<\/p>\n

Kathryn’s career began at BT<\/a>, where she contributed to Openreach<\/a>\u2019s regulatory market reviews and established new compliance frameworks. Following her tenure at BT, Kathryn also held “significant roles<\/em>” at the Post Office’s telecommunications division and Shell Energy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> KKR acquired a majority (75%) equity stake in Hyperoptic<\/a> during 2019 (here<\/a>) and the operator, which is home to c. 2,000 staff, has so far secured over \u00a3600m in debt to fund its growth.<\/div>\n
