Network provider PlatformX Communications<\/a> (PXC), which was formerly known as TalkTalk<\/a> Wholesale before the demerger (here<\/a>), has today announced their “intention<\/em>” to sign a new agreement that will give their UK wholesale business access to Netomnia<\/a>’s (inc. Brsk) new full fibre (FTTP<\/a>) broadband network – covering 1.75 million UK premises (RFS).<\/p>\n

At present PXC is already able to sell connections to ISPs and other companies via a number of different network operators, such as Openreach<\/a> and CityFibre<\/a>. The addition of Netomnia<\/a> to that will provide their partners with greater choice, while at the same time helping to grow take-up on Netomnia<\/a>’s rapidly expanding full fibre infrastructure.<\/p>\n

NOTE:<\/strong> Netomnia currently aims to reach 3 million premises by the end of 2025. But until now their broadband packages have mostly only been available via vertically integrated retail ISPs – YouFibre<\/a> and Brsk. Since 2020, Netomnia and Brsk have raised over \u00a31.3bn in capital to fund their expansion.<\/div>\n

However, today’s announcement indicates that the final details of the agreement between Netomnia and PXC are still being fleshed out, with the statement noting that “discussions on the proposed agreement … are at an advanced stage<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Chelot, Netomnia and Group CEO, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the UK\u2019s fastest-growing full fibre network operator, we\u2019re excited to leverage PXC\u2019s platform to enter the wholesale market, marking a significant phase of growth. This collaboration will accelerate our customer acquisition and help us achieve our goal of serving 1 million customers by 2028, building on the 175,000 already connected. With PXC, we\u2019re set to enhance our market share, reshape the alternative networks landscape, and bring the benefits of ultra-fast fibre connectivity to more homes and businesses across the UK.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

James Smith, CEO of PXC, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re really excited to partner with Netomnia and Brsk. Their ambitions to double their fibre availability across the next year will be crucial for businesses needing more reliable connectivity at better rates. With their network footprint complementing our existing alt net community, this move enables PXC to effectively serve more areas with competitive and dependable fibre, an important step in establishing us as the UK\u2019s leading alternative networks aggregator platform.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
