{"id":4087,"date":"2013-09-09T10:02:24","date_gmt":"2013-09-09T09:02:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/?p=4087"},"modified":"2013-09-09T10:02:24","modified_gmt":"2013-09-09T09:02:24","slug":"uk-mobile-operator-ee-bags-1-million-superfast-4g-lte-customers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2013\/09\/uk-mobile-operator-ee-bags-1-million-superfast-4g-lte-customers.html","title":{"rendered":"UK Mobile Operator EE Tops 1 Million Superfast 4G LTE Customers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mobile provider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/eebroadband\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">EE<\/a> UK has today reported passing a major milestone after they successfully added 1 Million customers to their superfast <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> (LTE at 1800MHz) based Mobile Broadband network, which is claimed to be &#8220;<em>one of the fastest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> adoption rates in the world<\/em>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The operator became the first mobile provider to launch a truly national <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/4g\">4G<\/a> network on 30th October 2012 and originally aimed to reach 1,000,000 customers by the very end of 2013, which puts them over three months ahead of schedule.<\/p>\n<p>Apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/eebroadband\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">EE<\/a> are celebrating this fact by giving their existing customers <strong>50% off in-store accessories<\/strong> (i.e. those with a value of \u00a3100 or less) until 19th September 2013 (subscribers should expect a text message to explain this offer later today).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Olaf Swantee, CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/eebroadband\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">EE<\/a>, said:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>The UK mobile sector saw a huge shift 10 months ago with the launch of 4G from EE. We set a new standard for UK mobile networks, and the way consumers and businesses are using their mobile devices in this country has been transformed.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We have seen one of the fastest adoption rates in the world and I\u2019m immensely proud to announce today that we have reached a significant milestone \u2013 one million 4G customers.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>We know that all communities across Britain want 4G, not just those in the big urban centres, and we\u2019re committed to continuing to roll out superfast mobile at this record breaking pace.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>EE has the most attractive 4G pricing in the world \u2013 and we\u2019re also gearing up to launch a new range of innovative plans, providing even more ways for people to get the fastest speeds and the best value plans<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>EE&#8217;s 4G service is now available to <strong>60% of the UK population<\/strong> and aims to reach 70% by the end of 2013.
