The new appointments followed a selection process and were approved by the MergeCo Governance Board, with representatives of both operators as shareholders of the new entity.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Just to recap. The merger, which was approved by the CMA in December 2024 (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/2024\/12\/vodafone-and-three-uk-mega-mobile-merger-gets-final-approval.html\">here<\/a>) and is said to be worth <strong>\u00a315bn+<\/strong>, will see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> retain a 51% slice of the business and CK Hutchison (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/threeuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Three UK<\/a>) hold 49%. Both operators have previously promoted the deal as being \u201c<em>great for customers, great for the country and great for competition<\/em>,\u201d while also resulting in a major<strong> \u00a311bn<\/strong> investment to upgrade the UK\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/5g\">5G<\/a> mobile (broadband) infrastructure and coverage.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bq2\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> The combined business aspires to reach more than 99% of the UK population with their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/5g\">5G<\/a> Standalone (SA) network by 2034 and push fixed wireless access (mobile home broadband) to 82% of households by 2030, among other things.<\/div>\n<p>The final deal is expected to reach completion in the &#8220;<em>coming months<\/em>&#8221; and, just ahead of that, Max Taylor, CEO of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/vodafoneuk\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Vodafone<\/a> UK, and CEO of the future merged entity, has today appointed the following people to lead the new company. Max Taylor added: \u201c<em>I would like to congratulate everyone on their new appointments.
