Shortly after that, the same users noted how their accounts had been taken over by rival ISP <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bentleytelecom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bentley Telecom<\/a>.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The first sign of difficulties surfaced at the start of February 2025, after several customers reported a loss of internet service and an inability to reach support. A few days later, the service suddenly returned, albeit with customers now finding that their service was being delivered by Bentley Telecom instead of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/brdy\" target=\"_blank\">Brdy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"bq2\"><strong>NOTE:<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/brdy\" target=\"_blank\">Brdy<\/a> was formerly known as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/bigblu\" target=\"_blank\">Bigblu<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/bigblu\" target=\"_blank\">Bigblu<\/a> Operations Ltd.).<\/div>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Dreadful. Cut off for 3 days without any warning. Recorded message on telephone to send them an email! How do you do that without a Broadband service. No mobile signal so had to use a friend&#8217;s phone to email them then still no reply. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/satellite\">Satellite<\/a> came back but now with Bentley Telecom<\/em>,&#8221; said one of several disgruntled customers via <a href=\"https:\/\/uk.trustpilot.com\/review\/brdy.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TrustPilot&#8217;s Brdy Reviews<\/a> page. Several other users echoed the same experience.<\/p>\n<p>Digging deeper, ISPreview found reference to a court case that was filed on 28th January 2025 (<strong>CR-2025-MAN-000088<\/strong>), which gave &#8220;<em>Notice of Intention to appoint an administrator<\/em>&#8220;. A quick look on Companies House for <a href=\"https:\/\/find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk\/company\/06759661\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brdy Broadband Ltd<\/a> (06759661) reveals that their accounts are several months overdue, while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegazette.co.uk\/notice\/4815023\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Gazette<\/a> shows that the company&#8217;s creditors held a meeting on 18th February 2025 to discuss &#8220;<em>liquidation<\/em>&#8221; of the business.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"bq1\"><p><strong>Creditors Meeting Statement (The Gazette)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Rule 15.13 of the Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 2016 that the Director of the above-named Company (the \u2018convener(s)\u2019) is seeking a decision from creditors on the nomination of Joint Liquidators by way of a virtual meeting. A resolution to wind up the Company is to be considered on 21 February 2025 prior to the virtual meeting. Decisions regarding the Joint Liquidators remuneration and the formation of a liquidation committee may also be sought at the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>James Fennessey of Azets, Titanium 1, King\u2019s Inch Place, Renfrew, PA4 8WF and Matthew Richards of Azets, 2nd Floor, Regis House, 45 King William Street, London, EC4R 9AN are persons qualified to act as insolvency practitioners in relation to the company who, during the period before the meeting date, will furnish creditors free of charge with such information concerning the Company\u2019s affairs as they may reasonably require.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In addition, when visiting Bentley Telecom&#8217;s website, we were greeted by the following message: &#8220;<em>Information for Ex Brdy, Big Blue customers. No activation costs, and if you use the antenna you already have, you will be connected to Bentley Telecom service. Offer valid for former Open Sky, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/go\/bigblu\" target=\"_blank\">BigBlu<\/a>, Brdy customers<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>ISPreview has contacted both of the providers in the hope of securing a comment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE 2nd March 2025 @ 7:20am<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bentley Telecom has informed ISPreview that the situation around Brdy is still not completely clear. Bentley itself have made an offer to their Viasat clients to resubscribe with Bentley Telecom from 1st March, as it appears that they have been unable to support them since 7th February. Viasat have permitted continuation of service supply since that date.<\/p>\n<p>However, Bentley Telecom says they do not currently have visibility to how they are supporting their clients on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ispreview.co.uk\/index.php\/link\/eutelsat\" target=\"_blank\">Eutelsat<\/a>&#8217;s Konnect VHTS satellite, although they appear to be steering these clients to email info@brdyservice.co.uk where they should be picked up.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE 17th March 2025 @ 8:42am<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The latest <a href=\"https:\/\/find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk\/company\/06759661\/filing-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Companies House<\/a> updates confirm that a liquidator was appointed and also includes a statement of affairs, which reveals a fair list of creditors (valued at c.\u00a36m).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Satellite internet provider Brdy, which offered a mix of satellite and wireless (5G) broadband solutions to rural parts of the UK, appears to be in difficulty after customers of the service started reporting a lack of support and connection problems.
